Refund & Cancellation Policy
Refund & Cancellation Policy
At Matthew Bonas Yoga Inc., we strive to create a seamless and transformative experience for every guest. Because we pre-pay for international boutique accommodations, internal airfare, and private transportation to secure your spot, we must adhere to the following policy:
1. The Deposit
The $500 CAD deposit is strictly non-refundable and non-transferable. This deposit is used immediately to lock in your early bird rates and secure the logistics required for the retreat.
2. Cancellation Timelines
Cancellations on or before October 1st, 2026: You will receive a refund of any payments made toward the balance of the retreat, excluding the $500 non-refundable deposit.
Cancellations after October 1st, 2026: No refunds or credits will be issued for any reason (including personal emergencies, illness, or travel delays). At this stage, all funds have been committed to our partners in India.
3. Roommate Adjustments
If you registered for a Shared Spirit (Double Occupancy) room and your designated roommate cancels, or a roommate cannot be found for you by October 1st, your registration will be adjusted to the Solo Voyager (Single Occupancy) rate. You will be responsible for the price difference to maintain your reservation.
4. Travel Insurance Requirement
To protect your investment, comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all participants. We strongly recommend a policy that includes "Cancel for Any Reason" (CFAR) coverage and medical evacuation. This ensures you are covered for unforeseen circumstances that fall outside of our refund window.
5. Retreat Cancellation by Organizer
In the highly unlikely event that Matthew Bonas Yoga Inc. must cancel the retreat due to unforeseen global circumstances or force majeure, guests will receive a full refund of all payments made, including the deposit. Please note that we are not responsible for any personal travel expenses (such as international airfare) incurred in preparation for the trip.
What to include in the Refund Policy
Generally speaking, a Refund Policy often addresses these types of issues: the timeframe for asking for a refund; will the refund be full or partial; under which conditions will the customer receive a refund; and much, much more.
